The reproduction of James Northfield artworks without copyright permission granted by the James Northfield Heritage Art Trust, by any person(s), organisation(s), company(s) or other entities, is in breach of copyright and appropriate action(s) will be taken. Display of images on social media platforms or in an exhibition also require copyright permission from the Trust with an appropriate fee applicable. Copyright Protection of intellectual property is fundamental to artists controlling their work and is critical to economic survival for many artists. The impacts of digital distribution – including greatly increased opportunities for infringement and actions to address this – have raised general awareness of copyright among creators, distributors and audiences. Infringement remains an issue for a number of artists and the James Northfield Heritage Art Trust views such infringements as serious ethical and legal matters.
